About the wine
Weingut Mann is a small family business that has had its home in Eckelsheim for 11 generations. Andi Mann, as the youngest generation, is now leaving his mark on this family joint project. He wants to write his own new chapter. But which should not only be about new things. He tries much more to rediscover lost cycles and crafts in order to produce honest wine from Eckelsheim and Rhine-Hessian Switzerland. A special feature should be the relaxed approach to the topic of wine.

Tasting note
The Pinot Gris Calx should simply deliver a lot of Pinot Gris. He should rethink the known assumptions about this grape variety. Grown on the few calcareous soils, a long maceration period and aging on the lees over 1.5 years give this wine its expression. Its creaminess and complexity, without a corset, show much of what makes up the Pinot Gris grape.
Culinary recommendation
Our recommendation: Enjoy this white wine at a slightly chilled 10°-12°C. The wine should be enjoyed during this period: now until 2021.
