This grappa was made from the pomace of the individual Ginestra vineyard in Monforte d'Alba. The Conternos, which are highly praised by experts, produce their Barolos from Ginestra grapes. Paolo Conterno's Grappa is distilled by the renowned Marolo distilleria in Alba and aged in barriques there for a few months. Grappa Ginestra has typical grappa notes on the nose, reminiscent of licorice, leather and fruity pomace notes. The mouthfeel is warm and creamy. Slightly sweet, the licorice and leather reappear very pleasantly. A floral grape aroma accompanies the long finish.
