Tasting note
Gentle on the nose with a great personality. The wide-ranging bouquet is dominated by notes of sour cherries, wild fruits, chocolate and vanilla. Harmonious on the palate with a long-lasting aftertaste.
Culinary recommendation
Ideal as a fine digestive — goes perfectly with dark chocolate, aged hard cheese or fine chocolates.
Vinification
This grappa is made from Barbera d'Asti grapes, which come from the Mombaruzzo area. Tenuta Roccanivo is owned by the Berta family. Distillation is carried out discontinuously. The distillate is aged in 225 liter oak barrels with medium toast for over 8 years. The barrels are replaced by new ones every two years.
