Glenglassaugh Sandend Single Malt Scotch Whisky - Glenglassaugh

The Coastal Single Malt Glenglassaugh, at the eastern end of beautiful Sandend Bay, was founded in 1875 by James Moir. He quickly made a name for himself as a producer of quality whiskey and the company flourished. In 1892, the distillery was taken over by Highland Distillers. In 1960, a complete renovation took place and Glenglassaugh continued to produce until it closed in 1986. In 2008, a group of investors bought the company and production was resumed. Several changes of ownership followed until Glenglassaugh became the property of Brown-Forman in 2016. Today, production is in full swing and the Glenglassaugh brand has missed out on a completely new appearance. With a new logo, a modern bottle design and a consistent commitment to a seaside location, both logo and bottle design are inspired by the sea and beach The new products are known as “Coastal Single Malt” and embody the brand's maritime style in every respect.
