Tasting note
Ripe banana, dried apricot and pineapple are the primary attributes of this Chardonnay. An invigorating freshness, a juicy full-bodied character and a firm minerality enchant the taste buds and result in a long, harmonious finale.
Culinary recommendation
Glarea is a jack-of-all-trades that likes to accompany hearty starters. Whether with vegetable soup or spaghetti with clams, with this Chardonnay you are on Jerichtig. Glarea tastes heavenly with pizza, best when topped with buffalo mozzarella.
Vinification
The grapes are harvested exclusively by hand, delivered in small containers and gently pressed. The must ferments at a controlled temperature (19°C) in wooden barrels, partly with biological acid degradation. The wine is then aged in barrique barrels, tonneaux and large wooden barrels of 12 hl each.
