Tasting note
The Gevrey-Chambertin Clos Prieur 1er Cru appears in the glass in bright ruby red. On the nose, elegant aromas of red cherries, raspberries and dark berries develop, accompanied by fine notes of spices, undergrowth and a hint of violet. On the palate, the wine appears structured, precise and silky at the same time, with fine tannins, lively freshness and a deep, complex finish that combines the power and elegance of this terroir.
Culinary recommendation
It goes well with game dishes, fried duck breast fillet, veal or beef and aged cheese.
Vinification
The grapes are carefully picked by hand, destemmed and traditionally fermented in open wooden fermentation vats. The aging takes place in French oak barrels for around 14 to 18 months, some of which are new, to promote structure and finesse.
