About the wine

The winemaker from the Israeli winery Galil Mountain Winery greets us with this wine that he grows in the countryside. Tasting note
The “Galil Ela” shows fruit aromas of black cherry, fresh blueberry and plum jam with a slight background of clove, coffee, and browned butter. This full-bodied wine has a deep purple color with delicate and balanced acidity. With its full-bodied, velvety texture, it impresses with a persistent and elegant finish.
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with spaghetti bolognese, grilled lamb ribs or with a platter of your favorite cheese.
Vinification
The “Galil Mountain Winery” is based on the region's five vineyards, which are between 430 and 800 meters high. State-of-the-art production facilities help control the winemaking process and the proven know-how offers an inspiring selection of award-winning wines that remain true to their roots. The seductive “Galil Ela” consists mostly of Barbera, Syrah, with some Petit Verdot and Grenache. After pressing, the wine goes through a so-called malolactic fermentation process. The wine is then aged in French oak barrels for twelve months.
