Tasting note
Intense golden yellow. A beguiling scent of dried apricots, oranges, caramel and some passion fruit. On the palate, oily consistency with elegant sweetness and sensual dried apricot and honey aromas. Long aftertaste with wonderfully juicy acidity.
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with buttery desserts such as crème brûlée and puff pastry tarts, but also goes well with soft cheeses.
Vinification
This sweet wine is produced by a natural drying process of the grapes on the vines. The harvest only starts in mid-October. After pressing, the must is fermented slowly at around 15°C to reach an alcohol content of 14 to 15% by volume. Some of the young wine is aged for one year in French oak barrels. Further maturation is followed by rest in the bottle.
