About the wine
If you want to surprise a wine connoisseur, then with this dominant Cabernet Sauvignon 2013 — El Ixsir! The wine-growing areas of the Lebanese winery Ixsir extend across the landscapes where the experienced winemaker produces this red wine. Culinary tip from Flaschenpöstler: This Cabernet Sauvignon is ideal to serve with pizza with mushrooms or red meat.
Tasting note
Good color with a nose of ripe blackberries and a touch of spice. Very sumptuous on the palate but with a wonderful freshness. An elegant structure with young tannins. Seductive combination between classicism and hedonism. Can be drunk right away or stored for a good few more years.
Culinary recommendation
It goes well with red meat, white meat, braised meat and roast meat.
Vinification
Manual harvest, mash fermentation in steel tanks. 24-month aging in French barriques (50% new and 50% used once).
