About the wine
With the fine Dourum Colheita from 2014, you will positively surprise your guests. Sunny and magnificent landscapes of the Douro Valley give us these grapes, from which the winemaker from the Portuguese winery João Portugal Ramos conjures up this red wine with refinement and experience.

Tasting note
Intense ruby red with purple reflections. Intense, fresh and complex aroma. Ripe fruits such as black plum and black currant dominate, complemented by fine floral notes of violets, typical of Touriga Nacional, as well as tertiary aromas from barrel aging. Strong, ripe and well-integrated tannins with balanced acidity. Long, elegant and well-defined finish that reflects both the style of Duorum and the character of the region.
Vinification
After careful selection upon arrival at the winery, the grapes are destemmed, squeezed and transferred to stainless steel tanks with automated squeezing systems. At this stage, there is a cold maceration period before fermentation. Fermentation then takes place in stainless steel tanks at a controlled maximum temperature of 28°C.
