About the wine
The young Col di Bacche winery is located near the Parco Naturale dell' Uccellina in the Maremma region, around 15 km from the sea. The vineyards are located in a south-southwest direction. 13 ha are cultivated on primarily calcareous soils at altitudes of 170 to 260 m above sea level, mainly planted with Sangiovese. The majority of the vineyards, 8 ha, are destined for the Morellinos. The quality of the wines is based on careful selection of grapes, modern and controlled vinification and aging in various barriques of different ages. Col di Bacche wines have always been at the forefront of Gambero Rosso since 2005.

Tasting note
Dense ruby red Versatile on the nose, strong and deep on the palate with dark berries, very well structured and long-lasting. Yet balanced and rich in finesse with a long finale.
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with grilled meats, game dishes and aged cheeses.
Vinification
The grapes are carefully picked by hand. After fermentation, the wine ages in wooden barrels, which contributes to the integration of tannins and the development of its complex aromas.
