About the wine

Heaven and Earth — A Biel winemaker in the South African wine paradise In 2002, Neuchâtel winemaker Jean-Claude “JC” Martin (formerly Domaine les Grillettes) founded the “Creation Wines” winery with his wife Carolyn, South African with generations of winemaker ancestors near Hermanus. Located on the Hemel-en-Aarde Range in front of Walker Bay, Creation Winery enjoys ideally cool, maritime conditions. At 350 meters above sea level, the vines grow on clay soils that are more than 450 million years old. You'll be spoiled by plenty of sun exposure and the cool Atlantic breezes. The natural acidity of the soil, which is preserved in the grapes, is reflected in the wonderful minerality of the wines. Thanks to these factors, the grapes are of consistently high quality and enable the creation of complex, finesse wines with a lot of depth. As a member of the Biodiversity & Wine Initiative, Creation Wines is committed to protecting and maintaining natural biodiversity.
