Tasting note
The Cortage Blanco shines in a light straw yellow. The nose is dominated by aromas of grapefruit, citrus fruits, some quince, slight yeast notes and a touch of iodine. On the palate, the wine is extremely fresh and juicy, with lots of yellow fruit, grapefruit and a bit of wet stone. The wine is salty mineral with a vibrating acidity and a long-lasting and refreshing finish. A complex and extremely interesting white grenache with lots of character. A great food companion.

Vinification
The young vines grow in the south-east-facing locations “Les Sentius” and “El Bosc” on typical Llicorella soils with sandy portions. After manual harvesting, the grapes are macerated with the skins at cool temperatures for 72 hours. The aging takes place in used French barriques for 3 months. The wine is bottled unfiltered and should therefore be poured carefully to keep the cloudy parts in the bottle. The annual production is just 460 bottles.
