About the wine
Do you already know the dominant Shiraz Colle al Fico Syrah Rosso Toscana IGT born in 2015? If not, it's time! The winemaker from the Italian winery Petra absolutely masters his craft. Style and finesse are the characteristics of this red wine, which originated in the flourishing and fertile Tuscan countryside. Flaschenpöstler tip: Pair this Shiraz with roasted vegetables or game.
Tasting note
On the nose, intense yet elegant aromas of dark berries, ripe plum, black pepper, violet, licorice and fine roasted aromas. On the palate, Syrah is powerful and concentrated, with smooth tannins, spicy depth, fine mineral freshness and a long, complex finish. A Tuscan Syrah with international format and terroir expression.
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with lamb loin, beef tenderloin, game dishes, porcini risotto, aged pecorino, truffle dishes or hearty Tuscan cuisine with roasted aromas and herbs.
Vinification
Selective manual harvesting, maceration at controlled temperature, aging in French barriques (partly new) for around 18 months, then aging in the bottle. The style combines grape variety character, depth and elegance, in the spirit of the renowned Petra winery.
