About the wine

Tasting note
Château Certan de May de Certan 2022 delights with a deep, ruby red color and a seductive bouquet of dark fruits such as black cherries and plums, paired with elegant notes of chocolate, spices and a touch of tobacco. On the palate, it is full-bodied and velvety with a balanced tannin structure and lively freshness. The aromas of ripe fruit and delicate wood notes blend harmoniously and result in a long, elegant finish that underlines the minerality and finesse of this top wine.
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with red meat such as lamb chops or beef tenderloin, game dishes such as venison or mature cheeses such as brie or camembert.
Vinification
The grapes are harvested and selected by hand to use only the best fruits. After fermentation, aging takes place in French oak barrels, some of which are new, to give the wine an extra layer of complexity and structure. Bottling takes place after 12 to 14 months of barrel aging.
