About the wine

Evil tongues say about mountain valleys that people neither come out nor look out. All you have to do to discover fantastic things is to take a look. To career changer Alex Stauffer in Valais, for example, who has switched from working on a screen to working in the vineyard. After only a short period of study and training, Alex founded Le Vin de L'A in Flanthey in 2018 with ½ ha of vines and since then, the now 3 ha has produced beguiling charismatic wines, without additives. All work is carried out manually, in line with the lunar cycle and the terroir, so that additives such as sulfur are neither desired nor necessary. Oh what, the wines are great just the way they are, anything else would be annoying!

Tasting note
The first love - floral, intense with spring bloomers, lilies of the valley and daffodils, fresh fruitiness sprouts and refreshes, super juicy apple, mandarin, paired with the exoticism of mango and papaya, which invigorates, strolling afterwards, comes beautifully, hugging you from behind, warm, with lots of tenderness and heartfelt love, a spice, a bit of clove, curry leaf and cute white pepper, you let yourself go, comforting, gently snuggling, a touch of creaminess, fresh cream and butter. On the palate, you fall further into this loving hug, full-bodied, soft, pleasant, with yellow-fruit aromas and warm spiciness, so beautiful and incredibly charming, delightful with mineral saltiness, invigorating. You never forget them.
Vinification
Selective reading by hand. Traditional whole grape pressing, spontaneous fermentation with the vineyard's own yeasts, aging for 9 months in used oak barrels and terracotta amphoras. Minimal filtration before bottling.
