About the wine
With experience and intuition, the winemaker from the Italian winery Romano Vitas masters this white wine in the blooming and fertile landscape of Friuli. We have a special, strong white wine from 2017 for you, which is a source of enthusiasm among many wine connoisseurs. Flaschenpöstler tip: Combine this Chardonnay with asparagus or fish with herbs.

Tasting note
Romano Vitas strives to preserve the maximum of their varietal aromas in its white wines. He achieves this through careful selection of grapes in the vineyard and subsequent careful processing and fermentation, allowing Chardonnay in particular to macerate on the berry skins for a few hours. The wine ages in steel tanks to protect it from all influences, such as wood notes from oak barrels. The result is enchantingly fresh, ripe aromas, backed by an invigorating race on the palate.

Vinification
Ein paar Worte zur Vinifikation: Romano Vitas ist darauf bedacht, seinen Weissweinen das Maximum ihrer sorteneigenen Aromen zu erhalten. Dies erreicht er durch die sorgfältige Selektion der Trauben im Rebberg und durch die anschliessende schonungsvolle Verarbeitung und Vergärung, wobei er insbesondere den Chardonnay für ein paar Stunden an den Beerenhäuten mazerieren lässt. Der Wein reift in Stahltanks, um ihn vor allen Einflüssen, wie Holznoten von Eichenfässern zu schützen. Das Resultat sind bezaubernd frische, reife Aromen, unterlegt von einer belebenden Rasse am Gaumen.
