The grapes from the oldest vineyards on our best plots on the Pössnitzberg, grown on calcareous Opok soils, result in this unique combination of strength and elegance, suppleness and precision as well as mineral depth. The Old Vines classified as Große STK Lage der Steirische Terroir & Klassik Wineries are expressive wines with endless development potential and are certainly for knowledgeable connoisseurs.

Tasting note
The grapes come from the oldest vineyards in the eponymous individual vineyard. The wine was aged in oak barrels for 24 months. An elegant, very clear, unadulterated character wine, with aromas of white peach and orange blossom, underpinned with fine-smoky flint notes and hints of roasted pine nuts. Wonderfully stimulating structure - strongly influenced by the sparseness of the vines and the soil, extremely mineral. Expressive wine with lots of development potential and certainly for knowledgeable connoisseurs.
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with fish, seafood and crustaceans, but also with creamy risotti and pasta dishes, as well as with white meats and poultry.
