About the wine
The Taittinger Collection is an exclusive series from the champagne house Taittinger, in which renowned artists create selected vintage champagnes with their works. Brazilian photographer Sebastião Salgado was selected for the year 2008. He decorated the bottle with one of his iconic black and white photographs: a leopard quenching its thirst in the Barab River Valley in Namibia. This image symbolizes the purity and originality of nature.

Tasting note
The champagne is golden yellow with fine perlage. On the nose, aromas of white flowers, citrus fruits and subtle roasted aromas develop. On the palate, it is elegant with a harmonious balance of freshness and complexity, accompanied by notes of ripe fruit and subtle minerality.
Culinary recommendation
It goes well with seafood, white meats and mild cheeses.
Vinification
The grapes come from Grand Cru and Premier Cru sites. After traditional bottle fermentation, champagne ages on the lees for several years to develop its complexity and depth.
