About the wine
With experience and intuition, the winemaker from the South African winery Chamonix masters this red wine in the fertile and enchanting landscape of the coastal region. We have a special, strong red wine from 2013 for you, which is a source of enthusiasm among many wine connoisseurs. Tasting note
When released, Cabernet Franc shows a deep ruby red mulberry color and an intense bouquet with scents reminiscent of peppers, red berries, spices and cigar boxes. A wine with a lush structure fills the mouth with concentrated fruit and berry sensations.
Culinary recommendation
Flaschenpöstler tip: Chamonix Cabernet Franc goes great with goat cheese, meatballs with tomato sauce, and game. Our recommendation: Enjoy this red wine at a slightly chilled 16°-18°C. The wine should be enjoyed during this period: Now until 2023.
Vinification
When harvested, the grapes are selected on sorting tables before the whole berries are fermented in stainless steel and concrete tanks for 3 weeks. After malolactic fermentation, the wine ages for 18 months in 228l French oak barrels.
