The most important traditional sparkling wine brand in the world (“Established 1861”) takes its name from the ash groves in the area: Freixe means ash in Spanish. The marriage of Dolores Sala to her great love Pedro Ferrer Bosch marks the beginning of the house's unprecedented success story.
