About the wine

What is actually behind the Caloroso? Above all, a lot of passion, wine know-how and dedication. And so we set out over a year ago to find the right producer for it and to determine the perfect blend of our own in many tastings. We were particularly fascinated by the following story from Maremma, which was also the godmother for the naming. According to Tuscan history, the “Caloroso”, the warm-hearted one, was Domenico Tiburzi, the Robin Hood of Maremma in the 19th century. He fought persistently for justice and stood by the poor. Even today, his actions and works are the subject of many stories and make our Tuscan hero immortal.
