Tasting note
On the nose, the 2019 shows intense aromas of dark cherries, blackcurrants, violets, rose petals, cedarwood and fine spices. On the palate, the wine is silky, polished and precise, with a cool elegance that is rarely found in Napa. The tannin structure is fine-grained and velvety, the acidity is perfectly integrated, and the finish is long, clear and rich in finesse. One of the most elegant and fragrant Colgin wines with a Burgundian flavor.
Culinary recommendation
Ideal with veal loin with truffles, beef tenderloin, game dishes, smoked duck breast fillet, braised oxtail or as an elegant soloist in a quiet hour.
