About the wine
Malbec from Catena's Alta line is a real treat that will also inspire you. I like to serve it to my guests with hearty meat dishes or an eggplant casserole; it also goes well with hard cheese. The altitudes of the Valle de Uco, combined with natural irrigation from the Andes typical of Argentina and over 250 days of sunshine per year, create ideal conditions for high-quality grapes.

Tasting note
Bright purple with a slightly brightened edge. The bouquet is fruity and spicy with aromas of black elderberry, grenadine and pink pepper. A subtle note of menthol and blonde pipe tobacco completes the aroma. On the palate, the wine is velvety and rich: dark berry aromas dominate, complemented by toasted spelt bread and a touch of vanilla pastry. Mineral nuances and crunchy tannins give the fruit a finely structured texture until the long-lasting finish.
Culinary recommendation
This wine is ideal with beef loin, T-bone steak, beef appetizers, lamb legs or eggplant casserole. It is also ideal for stews and fine grilled dishes.
