About the wine
First produced in 1997, the Hess Estate Cabernet Sauvignon from Napa Valley closed the big gap between the Hess Select and Hess Collection Cabernets. 100% of the grapes come from our own vineyards on Mount Veeder and the Pope Valley. Mash fermentation is carried out in temperature-controlled stainless steel fermentation tanks that are open at the top. The young wine is then aged in oak barrels.

Tasting note
Dense ruby red. Notes that indicate perfect ripeness are reminiscent of cassis, cedarwood, some vanilla and toasted bread. Harmonious and seductive on the palate too with fine-meshed tannin, a Napa Valley classic!

Goes well with fine meat dishes, grilled pork.
