About the wine
With the first-class Budeshuri Saperavi, which was produced in 2019, you will definitely have a lot of fun. The wine-growing regions of the Kapistoni winery extend across the landscapes where the experienced winemaker produces this red wine.
Tasting note
Budeshuri Saperavi is an autochthonous grape that is almost no longer planted today. Which is a shame, because in the good hands of Kapistoni, a very nice wine is produced. Ruby red color. Aromas of ripe plums and cassis. The wine is very accessible and invites you to enjoy a second glass. Extremely long finish. Only 1,000 bottles produced.
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with grilled lamb, game, spicy Georgian dishes such as ostri (beef stew) or aged cheese.
Vinification
Fermented on our own yeasts in Qvevri (classic clay amphoras) and easily extracted. Then aged for 12 months in the same Qvevris. Unfiltered and unadorned.
