About the wine
The Casanova di Neri winery was founded in 1971 when Giovanni Neri acquired an extensive estate in the municipality of Montalcino and repeatedly expanded it to include the best locations. Casanova di Neri is the result of a creative and philosophical development to create a novel Brunello that reinterprets tradition. And the success of these wonderful wines speaks for itself.

Tasting note
Complex aromas on the nose, cherries, wild berries, violets, fresh herbs, oriental spices and dried rose petals. On the palate, Tenuta Nuova is full-bodied, balanced and powerful with lots of ripe, round tannins and an intense aroma density, which give this Brunello a very long finish.

Vinification
The manual harvest took place from mid-September to early October. The selected grapes were then destemmed and fermented with natural yeasts at controlled temperature for approximately 24 days. The pomace hat was regularly wetted from above so that it does not dry out. It was then gently pressed and the wine aged in French barriques for 35 months. During this time, the organic acid degradation took place and after bottling, the wine aged for a further 15 months before being released for sale.
