About the wine
The Capanna farm, owned by the Cencioni family since 1957, is located north of Montal-cino in the Montosoli area. The area covered with vines is around 12 ha, while a further 11 ha bear olive trees. The excellent location produces full-bodied and finesse wines. All wines in the Capanna estate are made exclusively from grapes from our own vineyards. A Riserva must be stored for 5 years (of which 4 1/2 years in barrels) before it can be bottled.
Tasting note
Intense ruby with garnet red reflections. Fine aromas of cooked berries and plum compote, underscored by a subtle oakwood spice. Long finale.
Culinary recommendation
It goes very well with Italian cuisine, such as risotto ai funghi or a typical plate of pasta.
