Tasting note
Self-confident and puristic, this exemplary family business in an idyllic balcony location on the outskirts of La Morra uses traditional Barolo, which experts unanimously recognize as exemplary. The style is trending in the Burgundian direction. Long fermentation time and classic aging in large oak barrels result in mild, “sweeter” tannins and a rather bright garnet red, which, however, proves to be particularly stable during aging. Since the 2015 vintage, Marcarini has been producing La Morra, a zone Barolo, a wonderfully spicy, fragrant Nebbiolo from the prime locations of La Serra and Brunate,
