About the wine
The winemaker from the Italian winery Massimo Rivetti is absolutely proficient in his craft. Style and finesse are the characteristics of this red wine, which originates in the picturesque and blooming Piedmont countryside. Tasting note
The grapes for this Barolo come from a family-owned, 1-hectare vineyard in La Morra. The alcoholic fermentation takes place in a temperature-controlled steel tank, followed by aging in large, traditional Slavonian oak barrels for two years. Finely elegant, ripe Barolo, with aromas of dark cherries, plums, wild berries and dried fruits, framed by fine floral notes of blooming herbs and some lilac. On the palate with a nice structure, fine tannins and a good supporting acid nerve.
Culinary recommendation
Perfect for hearty Piedmontese cuisine, pasta or risotti with mushrooms (porcini mushrooms, truffles) grilled or stewed meat dishes, such as oxcheek, or brasato. Even with game specialties.
