About the wine
The Rivetto family winery was founded in 1902 by Giovanni Rivetto and is now managed by Enrico Rivetto, now in the fourth generation. The winery is located between the municipalities of Serralunga d'Alba and Sinio, right in the heart of the Barolo area. Under the motto, unique wines from a unique region, the Rivetto family has been producing free from synthetic chemicals and aggressive fertilisers for decades. Tasting note
Deep garnet red. Very berry, compote-like fruit on the nose. Complex, intense and long-lasting, with fruity, ethereal and spicy notes. Spicy and powerful on the palate. Long finish.
Culinary recommendation
Ideal with game, wild fowl, pasta, risotto and hard cheese.
Vinification
After manual harvesting, fermentation takes place with local yeasts in stainless steel tanks. The wine is then aged in large oak barrels for around 25 to 48 months.
