Barco De Lua Trop< 24 Years Old Tawny Port - Pinalta Quinta da Covada

Brick-colored 24 year old tawny port with beautiful reflections. On the nose, aromas of sour cherries, nuts, caramel, oriental spices framed by subtle wild honey notes. On the palate, soft sweetness with lots of elegance. Somehow, this table wine reminds me of large plants in the region that bear the name of a nearby port city. In this town, there is a group of old men sitting in an institute that is responsible for allowing such tawny wines, but it doesn't, they prefer to stay among themselves, the market is too declining. These Instituto men have never drunk a Barco de Lua TroP inversely, it is just a simple Clandestine table wine.
