Tasting note
A wine that highlights the fruity and luscious notes of Barbera. On the nose, clear aromas of cherry, currant, violet, chocolate and tobacco. The palate lives up to what the nose promises; aromas of cherry, currant and dark chocolate, soft and juicy. The finish is long-lasting with cherry compote, dark chocolate and a little pepper.
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with antipasti such as aged cheese and salumi, filled pasta with meat sauces and spicy meat dishes. Its fresh acidity and juicy fruit also make it an ideal wine for convivial evenings with hearty dishes.
Vinification
The grapes come from the vineyards of the municipality of Isola d'Asti in Frazione Mongovone. The grapes are carefully harvested by hand. After pressing, the grape must ferments in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks before the wine is aged for 4 months in large wooden barrels and French barriques.
