About the wine

In this hidden corner of Tuscany, the streams, the wind, the forests and the climate form a natural environment that is very suitable for viticulture. The mixed soils of clay, silt and sand, the orientation to the southeast, the gentle slopes and the perfect altitude of 300 meters above sea level are important prerequisites for the elegance of the wines.

Tasting note
Dark ruby red color. Mineral notes underlaid with plum and black cherry. Some black pepper, chocolate and licorice. Rich and powerful on the palate, underlined with elegant tannins and mineral and balsamic notes.
Culinary recommendation
It goes well with braised meat, game dishes or aged cheese.
Vinification
The grapes come from calcareous clay soils and are harvested by hand in the first half of October. Mash fermentation takes place over 18 to 20 days in 1500 liter oak barrels at a controlled temperature. The wine then undergoes malolactic fermentation in 225 liter barriques and matures there for 12 months.
