About the wine
The winemaker from the Italian winery Bindella - Vallocaia absolutely masters his craft. Elegance and finesse are the characteristics of this red wine, which originated in the flourishing and fertile Tuscan countryside. Tasting note
The pure Merlot is shiny, ruby red in color, dense and complex on the nose. Its notes of dark cherries, blackberries, dried rose petals, some sweet tobacco and dark chocolate are surrounded by a touch of mint. On the palate, a powerful, complex bouquet with fine roasted aromas unfolds. The finish is wonderfully long, the wonderful balance rounds off the pleasure perfectly.
Culinary recommendation
Wonderful with tagliata di manzo and pasta with truffles.
Vinification
The Merlot grapes from the “Santa Maria” vineyard are strictly selected and fermented on the mash in stainless steel tanks after harvesting. The young wine is then aged for twelve months in new French barriques and in the bottle for a further twelve months. Homage to the art of wine — this noble and elegant Merlot, which is only produced in large years. With the name “Antenata”, in German Ahnin, we would like to recall the timelessness and values as well as the millennia-old tradition of winegrowing and lead them into the future.
