About the wine
This dominant Corvina 2012 — Amarone della Valpolicella Classico DO crowns every festive meal with elegance and finesse. Fertile and blooming landscapes in Veneto give us these grapes, from which the winemaker from the Italian winery Santa Sofia conjures up this red wine with refinement and experience. Flaschenpöstler culinary tip: This Corvina is very good to serve with roasts or recent types of cheese.

Tasting note
A dark, almost inky ruby red with garnet reflections. On the nose, it is strong yet delicate, with notes of ripe cherries, cassis and plums, but also milk chocolate, rhubarb and balsamic tobacco with a menthol flavor, resulting in a harmonious and elegant bouquet. On the palate, it is strong and juicy, a mature, full-bodied wine with very lively tannins. A refreshing citrus note perfectly balances the high alcohol content and thus ensures a pleasant drinking experience.
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with delicious dishes such as roast hare, roast turkey with truffles, braised beef in red wine or amarone risotto. At its peak of aging, excellent with ripe, spicy cheese.
