The Amalaya family winery, located at an altitude of over 1800 meters in the Calchaqui Valley in Salta, is known for its art of making cuvée. Tasting note
This wine has an intense, impenetrable ruby red. The nose is dominated by a lush aroma of red fruits and berries, accompanied by spicy notes such as nutmeg and red pepper as well as subtle hints of wilted rose petals and vanilla. On the palate, it is dense and velvety, with distinct fruity notes, including blackberries and a hint of gingerbread spice. The round tannins contribute to a delicate, long-lasting finish that impresses with an impressive intensity.
Culinary recommendation
This wine goes well with starters such as house pies or wild terrines, and is ideal for dark mushroom sauces and stews. Dark poultry such as duck or guinea fowl, various steak options, grilled meat and semi-hard and hard cheeses such as Sbrinz or mountain cheese also go perfectly with this drop.
