Tasting note
On the nose, complex notes of vanilla, orange zest, black walnut, truffle, toffee, black sesame, balm and moist moss. Ripe notes of leather, forest soil, wet leaves, spices and a touch of smoke underline the mature elegance. Juicy, velvety and harmonious on the palate, with fully integrated tannins and a long, spicy-aromatic finish.
Culinary recommendation
Ideal with braised game, venison or lamb stew, truffle dishes, mushroom risotto or mature hard cheese. Also great with smoked duck breast fillet or porcini polenta and desserts with chocolate.
Vinification
Aging for 6 years in used American oak barrels.
