Tasting note
The Steiner Riesling 17-23 has a complex interplay of aromas on the nose with notes of leaf yeast, roasted nuts and almonds, accompanied by hints of fresh yeast pastry and herbs such as chamomile. Fruity nuances of green and yellow apples complement the bouquet. On the palate, it is silky, creamy with a juicy melt and lively acidity, which gives the wine freshness and structure. The aftertaste is long-lasting and ethereally cool.
Culinary recommendation
This wine goes well with dishes such as bagna cauda, sashimi from high-fat fish such as mackerel or sardines, and Szeged goulash.
Vinification
The individual vintages from 2017 to 2023 matured separately in large wooden barrels and were then brought together in one barrel. This process, inspired by Rudolf Steiner's anthroposophical philosophy, gives wine its particular complexity and depth.
