Picturesque landscapes of Burgenland give us these grapes, from which the winemaker from the Austrian Weingut Hans & Christine Nittnaus conjures up this red wine with refinement and experience. You will definitely have a lot of fun with the fine Zweigelt Heideboden, which was produced in 2015.

Tasting note
The typical fruity notes in the bouquet form the trademark of this Zweigelt: berry fruit (cherry, sour cherry, elderberry), ripe stone fruit (plum), fine roasted aromas (vanilla, caramel, cedarwood), as well as tea and subtle vegetable notes. But the fruit structure also clearly prevails on the palate. This is accompanied by velvety tannins and a rich, complex body. It is a great combination of the individual structural elements.

Goes well with cold platters, charcuterie, herb omelets, vegetable stew, beef stew, beef goulash
Vinification
Three quarters aged in used barriques (3rd and 4th filling) and 25% in steel tanks
