About the wine
The Sicily branch of the Mazzei family is located not far from Noto in one of the most scenic wine-growing regions on the island. In caring for the Nero d'Avola stocks and in the cellar, they can rely on the support of the oenologist icon Carlo Ferrini.

Tasting note
Proximity to the sea and limestone soils balance the natural power of Nero d'Avola with impressive freshness and elegance. Characterful, accessible nose. Aromas of black and red cherries, paired with red wild berries, subtly floral with herbal notes. Very harmonious, easy to drink and balanced on the palate, medium-bodied with well-woven acidity. Fruity aromas of red wild berries and cherries. The soft tannins are really fun. Good length, persistent with a medium finish.
Culinary recommendation
Recommended by Flaschenpöstlern: Zisola Rosso Sicilia IGT goes perfectly with oxtail soup, hard cheese and risotto. Our recommendation: The red wine tastes best at a slightly chilled 18°-20°C. The wine should be enjoyed during this period: 2016 - 2018.
