Tasting note
The “Yarden Merlot” shows notes of ripe red and black fruits as well as nuances of orange peel, soil and fresh herbs. This classic Merlot is an excellent example of the exceptional quality of Merlot grapes grown on the Golan Heights. It is full-bodied, rich and aromatic.
Culinary recommendation
Combine the wine with a rack of lamb glazed with it, braised beef ribs or various root vegetables.
Vinification
A “Yarden Merlot” is made from grapes that come from certified sustainable vineyards on the central and northern Golan Heights. Over the course of over three decades, the highest quality Merlot grapes have been planted in this area. The wine ages for 18 months in small French oak barrels, of which around 40% are new.
