An intense Islay single malt whiskey known for its characteristic peat smoke notes and special aging in hand-picked oak barrels. This whiskey combines typical Islay smoke with a soft woody note and subtle sweetness.

Tasting note
Light golden yellow. Very peaty on the nose, bonfire, ash and medicinal notes. Ripe fruits later and floral notes as well as scents of marzipan and citrus fruits. Also peaty on the palate. It is also sweet, malty and fruity. Very long-lasting, dry and smoky aftertaste.
Culinary recommendation
It goes well with grilled meat, especially lamb or beef, and also with smoked fish such as salmon or mackerel. Spicy cheeses such as Gorgonzola or Roquefort also go very well with the strong aromas of this whiskey. Enjoy it alone or with a drop of water to highlight the complex aromas.
Vinification
Laphroaig Oak Select is traditionally distilled in Laphroaig Distiller y on Islay and matures in a selection of oak barrels specially selected for this bottling. Ageing in oak gives this single malt its distinctive combination of intense smoky and woody notes, while the oak barrels give it a subtle sweetness and added complexity.
