Tasting note
The wine features aromas of delicate violets, dark plums and licorice, which are layered with subtle notes of earth and leather spices brought in by the Mourvèdre component. The palate follows the aroma of the nose with similar spicy notes. For a vintage that is more known for elegant and finely structured wines, the wine shows generosity. The tannins are soft and grainy. Long-lasting fruit notes on the finish.
Vinification
22 months in French barriques, 225lt, 300lt and 500lt, no new barrels.
