About the wine
This distinctive red wine 2020 — Warwick Pinotage First Lady is a triumph down to the last drop in the truest sense of the word! With experience and intuition, the winemaker from the South African winery Warwick masters this red wine in the enchanting and sunny landscape of the coastal region. The Flaschenpöstler promise a culinary experience when you serve this Pinotage with strong cheese plates or salami.

Tasting note
Aromatic nose of strawberries, cherries, spices and rose petals. On the palate, it is lively and light-footed with floral notes, candied oranges, tea leaves and red berries. Silky tannins add texture to the seductive floral finish.
Culinary recommendation
It goes fantastically with BBQ spare ribs.
Vinification
The grapes are harvested at optimum ripeness, transported to the cellar, destemmed and stored in the tank. The must spent between 7 and 14 days on the skins, depending on the tannin structure, with three or four pump-overs per day and is then pressed. The wine underwent malolactic fermentation in the tank. After completion, the wine was stored in various oak barrels for 12 months, none of them new before being cut. It went through mild filtration and was bottled in August 2022.
