About the wine

The winemaker from the German Weingut Dr. Bürklin-Wolf has absolutely mastered his craft. Style and finesse are the characteristics of this white wine, which originates in the magnificent and picturesque landscape of the Rhine Valley. Do you already know the outstanding Riesling Wachenheimer Gerumpel P.C. with the 2015 vintage? If not, it's time! Flaschenpost team tip: Combine this Riesling with Indian cuisine or Asian food.

Tasting note
Very structured with salty minerality, harmonious and concentrated with power and elegance on the finish. Quote from Robert Parker, The Wine Advocate, Stephan Reinhardt about the 2022 vintage: “The 2022 Wachenheimer Ruempel P.C. is super clear, intense and flinty on the very elegant and refined nose that reveals extremely stony (basalt!) And saline aromas as well as substantial fruit aromas intermingled with sulfur-spring notes. Full-bodied, this is a pure, refined and saline, vibrantly fresh and expressive terroir Riesling with remarkable intensity and grip due to its rich minerals and serious tannins. This is an age-worthy Riesling that will hardly please any non-Riesling aficionados at this early stage, but it will excite the freaks that are hunting for unique terroir wines at a rather moderate price (which is less than half the cost of the domain's cheapest stated grand cru). 12.5% alcohol. Natural cork. Tasted at the Domaine in November 2023.”
Culinary recommendation
