Tasting note
Since a single-varietal grenache (Garnacha) cannot be called “Ribera del Duero” in accordance with the wine law applicable to this region, the Garnacha of Vizcarra is “only” considered a so-called “Vino de la Tierra Castilla y León”. With typical grenache spice in a fruity nose. cherries, dried cranberries, licorice and delicate eucalyptus notes. Berry-herbal spice also on the palate, with nice sweetness extract, good supportive freshness and fine tannin structure.
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with Spanish rice stir-fry, hearty sausages, (Iberico) pork or lamb from the grill or from the oven with herbs and peppers, but also with various game dishes. With spicy Manchego cheese.
