Tasting note
Rich ruby red with a deep black core, color tight. Pure, deep, blackberry, compote-like plums, floral, spicy, slightly mineral. Substantial start, strong body, present but fine-grained tannins, well-integrated acidity, very long-lasting, delicious, sweet-looking finish. Present on the palate, nice texture, still potential, impressive, carafing is worth it.
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with pot roast with caramelized onions and broad beans, entrecote, grilled fish with red wine sauce and braised quails with herbs.
