About the wine
The fertile and blooming Tuscan landscapes give us these grapes, from which the winemaker from the Italian winery De' Ricci conjures up this red wine with refinement and experience. This outstanding Sangiovese 2016 — Vino Nobile di Montepulciano DOCG, wooden box crowns every festive meal with elegance and finesse. The Flaschenpöstler guarantee a culinary experience when you offer this Sangiovese with pasta or pizza.
Tasting note
The scent of fresh cherries is combined with floral notes and fine spicy tones. The taste of the wine is mild with accentuated fruit, and the lively acidity gives it a pleasant freshness. The tannins are full and give the wine its distinctive structure.
Culinary recommendation
This wine is ideal for classic Bistecca Fiorentina, but is just as good with lamb and game dishes. Thanks to its spiciness, it is also highly recommended with fried meat and also with hearty fish dishes.
Vinification
After manual harvesting, the grapes are carefully sorted. 30% of the grapes are mashed and the must ferments in wooden vats at a controlled temperature for 40 days. Aging in French tonneaux and aging in oak barrels. Before being sold, the wine is left in the bottle for at least 6 months.
