About the wine
With the fine Vinha da Ponte DOC from 2014, you will pleasantly surprise your friends. The winemaker from the Portuguese winery Quinta do Crasto absolutely knows his craft. Elegance and finesse are the characteristics of this red wine, which originates in the flourishing and graceful landscape of the Douro Valley.

Tasting note
Strong color, with deep purple reflections. Intense on the nose, with aromas of fresh forest fruits and elegant notes of fine spices. The nose is seductive, engaging and complex. An elegant start on the palate, which results in a sumptuous wine with a densely packed structure. The fresh and finely structured tannins are well integrated with retronasal notes of wild berry fruits. It is a harmonious wine with a perfectly balanced and persistent finish.
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with beef, game and poultry.
Vinification
Grapes were brought to the winery in plastic crates and once again strictly selected. Then trampled in a traditional stone tank (lagar”). The resulting juice was transferred to an open stainless steel tank with a robotic flask. Fermentation took place for 7 days. The wine is then aged for 20 months in new French oak barrels (225 liters).”
